James shows a 3 × 3m louvred roof pergola in our warm Latte finish in Stoke, fitted outside the patio doors with drop-down screens, LED lighting and a heater.
Not every pergola has to be dark grey. This 3 × 3m louvred roof pergola in Stoke comes in our Latte finish, a warm, neutral shade that sits comfortably against brickwork and garden greenery. James from our team showed us around it.
Where it sits
The pergola is fitted against the back of the house, right outside the patio doors, over the existing paving. That placement makes it an extension of the kitchen or living room rather than a destination at the bottom of the garden: step outside and you are already under cover.
What James shows in the video
It is a short clip, but it covers the features that make a 3 × 3m pergola work hard:
- The louvred roof. The slats can be angled to bring light in or closed over for shade.
- Drop-down screens. Fabric screens wind down on the sides and front, so you can close the space in when it is breezy or you want more privacy, then wind them back up.
- LED lighting. A strip of lighting runs around the inside of the frame, so the space still feels inviting after sunset.
- A heater. A heater is fitted up under the frame, close to the house wall.
Why choose Latte?
Colour is easy to overlook when you are comparing sizes and features, but it decides how the structure looks from the house every day. A darker frame can look sharp and modern; a lighter, warmer one like Latte tends to feel softer and blends in with planting, timber and red brick. If your garden has lots of green, or you want the pergola to feel less like a new building, it is worth considering.
Is 3 × 3m enough?
For a small table and chairs or a pair of lounge seats just outside the back door, a 3 × 3m footprint is a practical size. It gives you a sheltered spot without covering the whole patio or blocking light into the house.
