James from our team showed us around: the chairs are in, the heaters are on, and all that's missing is the company.
Turning a patio into a room
The patio between the house and the lawn now has a roof, dark side walls and its own furniture, so it feels like an extension of the living space rather than somewhere you only use on hot days. The frame sits snugly across the back of the house, close to the patio doors, which makes it easy to step out with a drink.
The details that make it comfortable
- Louvred roof. The blades open up for light and air or close over for shelter, so the space adapts to the weather.
- Heaters. Heaters fitted under the roof take the chill off, which helps the pergola earn its keep beyond the summer months.
- Pull-down screen. A side screen drops down with a hook pole for extra cover from the wind.
