A Jacuzzi, a garden bar and somewhere comfortable to put your feet up. This 6 × 3m louvred roof pergola in Wigan was the finishing touch on our client's outdoor setup, and James from our team took a walk around it once the install was complete.
A long frame with room for everything
At six metres wide, this pergola covers far more than a single seating area. One end shelters the hot tub, the middle holds a rattan sofa set and table, and the garden bar sits close by, so everything you need for an evening outside is within a few steps. The dark frame stands on the patio at the edge of the lawn, with timber fencing behind it.
What James points out on the tour
- Louvred roof. The aluminium blades tilt open to let the sun in over the hot tub and seating, then close for shade or when the clouds roll in.
- Side screen. A screen drops down on one side for extra shelter and a bit more privacy.
- Space to relax. With the sofas under cover, sitting out no longer depends on a perfect forecast.
Why pair a pergola with a hot tub?
A hot tub is at its best on cooler evenings, which is exactly when sitting in the open can feel less inviting. A roof overhead keeps light rain off and makes getting in and out more pleasant, while the adjustable louvres mean you can still look up at the sky on a clear night. Grouping the tub, bar and seating under one long frame also turns three separate garden features into one connected outdoor room.
